Good day last night I had the opportunity to attend the opening of Art By Wak solo exhibit “IF NOT US “ at THE MINT gallery in the west end. His use of color, feel and emotions is felt in each piece. The black struggle with guns, politics, war and being human and black in America. There was a dope joint of Marvin Gaye that really caught my eye and a solid piece of his hometown of Chicago I couldn’t stop looking at. I knew it was the Chi when I saw the elevated train and bodega in the block as and the young man holding his child.
